Desire

About this event

Fans of Italo disco, cinematic synths, and neon dance floors, take note: Desire is coming to Simplon, bringing Johnny Jewel and Mothermary with them! This Canadian/American electronic band, currently based in Palm Springs, creates synth-pop where film, fashion, and fantasy converge on the dance floor. On stage, singer Megan Louise shines with her French and English vocals, complemented by the Italo, disco noir, and synthwave sounds of composer Johnny Jewel. Desire gained worldwide fame with their hit ‘Under Your Spell’, which played a prominent role in the 2011 neo-noir film Drive and was featured during catwalk shows by fashion houses like Dior and Chanel. The new album 'Escape', released in mid-October, is inspired by the extremely vibrant world of 70s giallo films. Expect a special audiovisual experience that stimulates the senses.
