About this event
What happens when an Irish singer-songwriter covers Dutch classics like Oceaan by Racoon and Grijs by Jaap Reesema? Conor McLain has won over a large audience with his versions on TikTok. Blending pop with acoustic folk, he creates personal, captivating songs that put his voice and storytelling front and centre. After performing with artists including Gavin James and playing a sold-out show at Simplon, McLain returns to Groningen for a show at De Oosterpoort. In songs like Another’s Arms and People Pleasers , he sings openly about love, the desire to please others and the search for a place to call home. Live, he combines intimate songs with a close-knit band and personal stories. And of course, his distinctive interpretations of Dutch classics will be part of the show too.
