Jörgen Raymann — BIG YARI: Welkom thuis, waar niemand op je zit te wachten

Jörgen Raymann celebrates his 60th birthday with his ‘Bigi Yari’ or ‘milestone year’ show, titled Welkom Thuis. This performance is a follow-up to his earlier successful show Even Slikken. In Welkom Thuis, Raymann tells the story of Mister Lasmibalsingh, a Dutch Surinamer who wants to return to his country after forty years but discovers he no longer truly belongs anywhere. Jörgen Raymann is a natural entertainer who became known in the Netherlands in 1998, after already being world-famous in Suriname. He hosted The Comedy Factory, the first stand-up comedy show on Dutch television, and subsequently created successful full-length theatre programs. He also had his own late-night show on NPO: Raymann is Laat. In 2019, he concluded his theatre career with a final tour.
