Noordpool Orkest — Nieuwjaarsconcert: Future Is Now

About this event

The distinctive Noordpool Orchestra specializes in 21st-century music and pushes the boundaries of genres such as pop, dance, jazz, film music, and classical. In addition, the ensemble is a breeding ground for new work. With this New Year’s concert, the Noordpool Orchestra ushers in a brand-new tradition. Not an ice-cold New Year’s dip, but a fresh look ahead, with music of today. For a new year calls for new, fresh sounds. With no fewer than 42 musicians, the orchestra will perform compositions written especially for this evening, created in collaboration with young makers, educational institutions, and cultural partners from the region. A composition competition is linked to the program, in which young composers present their latest work. Celebrate a contemporary start to the year together, because the future is now!
