Jet van der Steen

About this event

Jet van der Steen sings the way she talks: straight to the point, with a razor-sharp pen and zero patience for anyone who underestimates her. From bedroom singer with TikTok covers, she grew into a 3FM Talent and NRC cover star, with an electronic pop sound that’s just as abrasive as it is soothing. This spring, after a festival summer with shows at Pinkpop, Lowlands and Wildeburg, she lands at De Oosterpoort. She once tried her luck on The Voice of Holland; these days she makes the NOS evening news with a sound that gets sharper with every EP. Her single ‘Dans op het Mes’ racked up streams as far as South Africa, and de Volkskrant gave her a four-star review predicting the breakthrough couldn’t be far off. That breakthrough has arrived, and the hype turns out to be entirely justified: there’s no getting around Jet van der Steen anymore. Her debut album drops at the end of 2026, followed by her own tour in 2027. The Netherlands is at Jet’s feet. Bring it on!
