Anneke van Giersbergen — The Irish Road Trip

About this event

Singer Anneke van Giersbergen has one of the most versatile voices in the Netherlands: powerful yet vulnerable. She first rose to fame as the frontwoman of The Gathering , but has since enjoyed a successful solo career for many years. In this theatre concert, she dives into Ireland’s vibrant music scene, beloved all over the world. The singer’s own record collection is filled with it too, ranging from traditional Irish folk to albums by successful rock bands. Anneke’s clear voice is perfectly suited to a beautiful anthology of Irish music, so in The Irish Road Trip this musical polymath travels from Enya to U2 , and from Molly Malone to Whiskey in the Jar .
