About this event
The Meltdown combines southern soul with influences from Stax, Motown, and the Nashville songwriting tradition. The band describes their songs as “southern soul from the great southern land.” Lead singer Thomas Burke’s warm voice brings the band together into a groovy sound. After a series of successful live performances, The Meltdown signed with the Hopestreet Recordings label in 2015. In 2017, they released their debut album, The Meltdown, which led to several sold-out shows and festival appearances. Live, they are known for their compelling performances full of horns, organ sounds, and lyrics that resonate. Their latest album is now out and promises more warm southern soul.
