Waylon — Time Jumper

About this event

After a successful show last January, Waylon returns to the Stadsschouwburg. With the album Time Jumper , he and his regular band pay tribute to the rich tradition of country music. For Time Jumper , Waylon collaborated with The Time Jumpers, a group of top musicians from Nashville. The result is a warm and virtuosic sound in which classic country, western swing and jazz come together. Between songs, he shares personal stories about his love for country music and his journey to the roots of the genre. The sound is distinctive, nostalgic and exactly the way he wants it: without compromise. “Country music is very popular right now, but what makes this music so special? To answer that question, I went to Nashville and made an album that showcases the versatility of the genre. Country has a rich tradition and a unique sound, and I’m proud that with this album I can follow my own dream. Time Jumper is a tribute to the music I love so much.” – Waylon
