The Musical Box — “And Then There Was Phil”

About this event

With And Then There Was Phil , The Musical Box brings the early Phil Collins years of Genesis back to life. For over thirty years, the Canadian band has been renowned for its meticulous recreations of historic Genesis shows and even had the privilege of welcoming Genesis members Phil Collins and Steve Hackett for guest appearances. Now they turn their attention to the period between 1976 and 1980: the years in which Collins took over as frontman and Genesis grew into one of the biggest rock bands in the world. Performed on original instruments and featuring the legendary drum duets, And Then There Was Phil is both a musical and visual journey through time. Six gigantic moving mirrors, the original 1970s laser system and classics from albums including A Trick of the Tail , Wind & Wuthering and Duke recreate an authentic Genesis show from one of the band’s most innovative eras — performed with the extraordinary attention to detail you would expect from the world’s finest Genesis tribute band.
