Josh Ritter — An Evening with Josh Ritter (Solo)

About this event

Josh Ritter has been writing songs for over twenty years, bringing together strong storytelling and melodic folk. In February, the American singer-songwriter comes to Groningen. Ritter has released twelve studio albums to date, including the new I Believe in You, My Honeydew . His songs have also found their way to artists such as Bob Dylan, Joan Baez and Bob Weir, who have covered his work. Besides being a musician, Ritter is also an author: he has published two novels, including Bright’s Passage . His music centres on storytelling, sharp observations and personal lyrics. “Harking back to Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen and maybe a little Mark Knopfler, Mr. Ritter has always been a slinger of serious ideas and high-flown imagery.” – TheNew York Times
