About this event

American singer and songwriter Lizz Wright has been a familiar face in the jazz world for two decades. With her deep, warm voice and a style that blends gospel, jazz, and soul, she knows how to touch her audience in a special way. Her repertoire moves effortlessly between the personal and the spiritual, between subdued and powerful. Lizz grew up in Georgia, where she sang in her father’s church as a child. Those early musical experiences still form the basis of her work. Since her debut album Salt in 2003, she has become one of the most respected voices in American roots music. Shadow was released in 2024. On it, Lizz explores themes such as love, loss, and community, accompanied by acoustic guitars, strings, and influences from various musical styles. The result is an intimate and layered album that underscores her versatility.
