About this event

Every ten years or so, a new generation of Dutch-language bands emerges. Hiigo fits seamlessly into that tradition and is now one of the flagships of modern Dutch pop. The band wrote Hoogeveen into the annals of Dutch pop history when they broke through with the song Tankstation, a song that unexpectedly became a radio hit. Their debut album Leven In De Leegte was released on March 14, 2025, produced by Rob Peters. The band members found each other through friendship and a shared love for music. They create a special mix of Dutch pop with influences from modern bands like The 1975 and Bon Iver. After opening for Krezip, I.O.S., and Wies, a successful Noorderslag show, a sold-out club tour, and even their own festival, Hiigo is ready for a new chapter! Support: MAYTE. MAYTE creates quirky alt-pop with Frisian lyrics, straight from the heart. In 2025, she won 'de Kleine Prijs van Friesland' and in 2026, she was selected for the Popronde and named 3VOOR12 Talent. This winter, her second EP Tiid wurdt myn freon will be released, on which she sings about personal growth and letting go with a dark, raw edge.
