About this event
Verdi's Requiem is dramatic concert hall music with operatic intensity, where orchestra and choir complement each other. Verdi's music is full of dramatic effects, with contrasts between soft and loud, and expressive choral parts. The piece is an expression of Verdi's mourning for the writer Alessandro Manzoni.
