Shaking Hand

About this event

Sometimes you need a bit of luck to discover a band. The Left of the Dial lineup is a place where that can happen, but where you can also easily get lost in a swamp of great bands. That's how I happened to stumble upon the name Shaking Hand. No songs released yet, but a band bio mentioning American Analog Set, Tortoise, and Yo La Tengo. Shaking Hand, from Manchester, is a power trio. Reserved and explosive when needed, with beautiful bass and guitar parts, never a note too many. The debut album is simply titled Shaking Hand and connects the aforementioned influences with bands like Women and Palm. And now there's the first European tour and a cover of The Shining by Badly Drawn Boy to celebrate.
