Primitive Ring brings together three familiar forces from the LA underground: Bert Hoover, Jon Modaff, and Charles Moothart. Formed through a shared obsession with melody, rhythm, and raw rock 'n' roll instinct, the trio strips away excess modernity in favor of something primal, hypnotic, and alive. Their music feels both immediate and timeless: a collective sound forged through instinct, chemistry, and repetition. "Bring in the new" doesn’t mean abandoning the past, but pushing the story forward. Fans of Hooveriii will recognize the same adventurous spirit, now distilled into a heavier, tighter, and deeply immersive new form. Support: Whippets. Straight out of Madison, Wisconsin, Whippets hit hard with a ferocious mix of post-punk, grungegaze, noise rock, and punk. The power trio of Bobby Hussy, Tyler Spatz, and Hart Miller combines abrasive guitars, pounding rhythms, and dark edges with hooks that stick.
