Noord Nederlands Orkest — Openbare repetitie

About this event

Curious about how the rehearsals leading up to the North Netherlands Orchestra’s concerts go? Then come attend an open rehearsal. Listen as the conductor rehearses part of that week’s concert program together with the orchestra. The open rehearsals are free to attend and run from 12:00 to 12:30. If you really want to be blown away by an orchestra, this concert is for you. Prokofiev’s Fifth Symphony is brimming with tension. And that tension is released in ever-changing ways: sarcastic humor and drama alternate, culminating in a massive adrenaline rush. Grieg’s High Romantic Piano Concerto comes first. And Sibelius’s Pohjola’s Daughter is film music without a film, about misty landscapes and sorcery. Chief conductor Eivind Gullberg Jensen stands on the podium.
