The Noord Nederlands Orkest performs Mahler's Fifth Symphony, conducted by chief conductor Eivind Gullberg Jensen. The piece, starting with a funeral march and ending energetically, reflects various emotions and seems to describe a human life in reverse. The symphony features both dark elements and moments of bright sunshine, partly inspired by Mahler's infatuation.
