Over dit evenement

Leenalchi is a South Korean ensemble reimagining traditional pansori through experimental, bass-driven soundscapes rooted in both folklore and the country’s indie music scene. Led by composer Jang Young Gyu, a veteran film scorer, the group breaks the framework of pansori and reshapes it within contemporary music. Their songs transform ancient storytelling into modern sonic worlds, layering guttural vocals, rhythmic onomatopoeia, and mimetic Korean uitaeeo that evoke motion, emotion, and texture beyond language. Drawing from indie rock, psychedelia, and cinematic composition, they create immersive performances where rhythm, voice, and storytelling converge.
