About this event

When film and music tie the knot, it's practically mandatory viewing for Vera Zienema, and Pavements is a prime example. The documentary follows the 90s alternative rock band Pavement during a reunion tour, but also presents multiple layers of fiction: the so-called making of a big-budget Hollywood biopic about the band; the production of a Broadway musical featuring adaptations of Pavement’s songs; and the setup of an exhibition of significant artifacts from the band's history. Those who love their music, or cherish nostalgic feelings for the down-to-earth, ironic atmosphere of the 90s, should not miss this film. But even for those unfamiliar with the band, this evening has plenty to offer: Pavements is an experimental and completely original biopic, for film lovers looking to try something entirely new.
